I heard an Ace Hardware commercial on the radio today, John Madden speaking on their behalf. When I've heard these commercials before, the jingle at the end has gone: "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man." Can you hear it in your head now?!?
NOT ANY MORE!!! Now it's a woman singing: "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks."
A bow to political correctness? Maybe. But I like it. In our family, Amy knows just much about hardware stores and home improvement projects as I do. Case in point? My "quick" closet door makeover that's taken now, oh, about 7 months (and counting)...
